A great argument for why we've resisted accepting things like this as release inputs in the past.

I think that the problem here is that we forgot to remove the relbranch from the release config template: https://github.com/mozilla/build-buildbot-configs/blob/master/mozilla/release-thunderbird-comm-esr10.py.template#L55

We used 8514e65d50ec as the mozilla revision, which would've worked fine if we didn't have a relbranch set AFAIK.
